Bandai Visual’s Emotion label revealed more details about its multimedia project World Dai Star during a livestream presentation. The official title of the game for smartphones is World Dai Star: Yume no Stellarium, and it will be released in the summer. The project also includes an anime, which will have a premiere of the first two episodes on February 26 at TOHO CINEMAS Ueno, and a manga adaptation by Nanafuji on April 2 on the Comic Alive+ website.
World Dai Star is set in a world where theater artists from the Dai Star are extremely popular. The story follows Kokona Ôtori, a 16-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a World Dai Star and passes an audition to join the Sirius theater troupe. The casting also includes the Gingaza, Gekidan Denki, and Eden troupes.
The project’s story is written by Takahiro, known for his work on Yuki Yuna Is a Hero and Release the Spyce, and the character designs are by Mika Pikazo, who has worked on VTubeurs Kaguya Luna and Hako Baels and on Fire Emblem Engage for Nintendo Switch. The anime is directed by Yû Kinome at studio Lerche, and Yasuhiro Nakanishi writes the scripts. Majiro provides the character designs for the animation.
The manga adaptation, which will be published on the Comic Alive+ website, is illustrated by Nanafuji, who is also known for his work on Sumika Sumire and Shino-chan wa Jibun no Namae ga Ienai.
The project features three new cast members: Mariko Toribe as Koyomi Senju from the Gingaza troupe, Miho Okasaki as Iroha Senju from the Gekidan Denki troupe, and Kana Aoi as Hatsumi Renjakuno from the Eden troupe.
Overall, World Dai Star is a multimedia project that promises to offer a unique and exciting experience to fans of anime, manga, and theater. The combination of Takahiro’s storytelling, Pikazo’s character designs, and the talented voice cast and staff involved in the project make it a must-see for any fan of the genre.
